Water Ski Progression

Kneeboarding

Kneeboardin L1

Pre-requisite: Swim Check
Pull up on the kneeboard
Weave path inside the wake
Cross wakes (both sides)

Kneeboarding L2

Pre-requisite: Grade 1
Kneel upright with webbing around knees
Weave path inside wake, remaining upright
Jump from inside wake over wake to outside (both sides)
Let go with on hand

Two Skiing

Rookie

Pre-requisite: Sim Check
Put skies on in water
Get up
Weave path inside wake
Cross Wakes (both sides)
Let go with one hand

Sophomore

Pre-requisite: Rookie
Sit down
Raise each ski 10 seconds
Jump waves
Straddle wakes 10 seconds

Stunts I

Pre-requisite: Sophomore
Hold rope between knees
Ski double
Cross-under ropes
Skier's salute (raise one ski up and out in front of skier)
Dock start

Slalom Skiing

Junior

Pre-requisite: Swim Check
Get up with both feet in bindings
Weave inside wake
Weaves outside wake
Weaves side to side crossing wake
Ski on top of wake

Senior

Pre-requisite: Junior
Jump each wake
Cut
Take back foot out, hold 10 seconds
Squat down

Super

Pre-requisite: Senior
Jump one wake, clear other
Shove rear foot in water ski several times
Let go with one hand
Get up on one foot, drag the other foot

Stunts II

Pre-requisite: Senior
Knee holds
Carry ski
Forward swan
Backward swan
Canoe paddle

Barefooting

Bronze

Pre-requisite: Swim Check
Boom start w/feet in front on cables to a stable 3 point position
Boom start by tumbling around to a stable 3 point poistion
Stand up from either method above
Understand technique for tumbling back around after failing on boom and be able to perform it

Silver

Pre-requisite: Bronze
From Extension: deepwater start to 3 point poistion to standing
From Extension: tumble up to 2 point position to standing
From Extension: be able to cut from left to right and back
Log-line: deepwater start - check out before standing
Long-line: deepwater start - stand inside the wake

Gold

Pre-requisite: Silver
Long-line: cut out to side of boat
Long-line: cross the wake - both of them!
Boom: one hand - to be able to do from either side
Boom: one foot - to be able to do both sides
Extension: one hand - from both sides
Extension: one foot - both sides

Platinum

Pre-requisite: Gold
Long-line: one foot - both sides
Long-line: one foot/one hand - both sides
Extension tumbleturn 360clockwise
Extension tumbleturn 360 counter-clockwise
Extension 180 tumbleturn clockwise
Extension 180 tumbleturn counter-clockwise
